Closing Policies for Inclement Weather

J Art Studio will post the inclement weather closings on the main page of the website.  J Art Studio decides the closings due to the inclement weather for the classes and does not follow any county closings.  Closing notice will be posted by 2:00 pm before the weekday classes; and one hour before the weekend classes. There will be no refund or make-ups on the first day of closing for the winter. But there will be make-ups (in addition to up to five make-up classes between October and May) from the second day and more closing days with no refund.

Makeup Class Policy
A student may have up to five make-up classes per school year (October to May). A student must request a make-up within 30 days from an absent day while paying the tuition, if desired but not required, or make-up class will be expired. Make-up class is not transferable. Make-up class is first come first serve. You must call at least one day before preferred date for make-up.

Food Allergy Policy
It is parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to notify the teacher of student’s allergic reaction to any type of food, since J Art studio provides small snacks during the break time. Also, the student must carry Epi-Pen or Benadryl if the condition is diagnosed by an allergy specialist. J Art Studio does not store student’s medicine.

Recommendation Letters
We are happy to write any recommendation letters for our students, especially AAP (Advanced Academic Program) recommendation letters. But due to the high demand of requesting AAP recommendation letters each year, we only write to students who are currently attending J Art Studio, and

must be attending minimum six months prior to requesting AAP recommendation letter.

NO EXCEPTIONS.
